Mariel Mehdipour (MPH) is the Director of Community Wellness at Kern County Public Health Services Department. She serves as part of the advisory team for Call to Action. As the project director for the Community Transformation Grant (Centers for Disease Control (CDC), along with the Nutrition Education and Obesity Prevention Grant (CDPH) and Innovative Project (link coming soon), Mariel has been able to leverage resources in an effort to reduce the high rates of obesity and chronic disease in Kern County.

Mariel received her Master’s in Public Health from the Arnold School of Public Health at the University of Southern Carolina and her Bachelor of Arts (Italian) from the University of California, Los Angeles—a Bruin at heart!
