As of June 9, 2016, California met the CDC guidelines to become a Smoke-Free State. Smoking tobacco products, marijuana, and the use of e-cigarettes are prohibited at all indoor workplaces. This Smoke-Free law protects all workers in the State of California. The Labor Code 6404.5 is designed to reduce secondhand smoke exposure, reduce smoking, improve indoor air quality, and improve the health of all workers in California.
